Cannabis farmer busted for £10,000 Burntwood drugs factory

A cannabis farmer was busted by police after officers uncovered drugs worth almost £10,000.

Liam Wilson was arrested in Staffordshire when police raided a flat to scour for drugs hidden inside.

A total of 18 cannabis plants, with a street value of up to £9,900 were discovered as officers executed a drugs warrant at the Burntwood flat.

The 22-year-old was charged soon after and has now been punished for operating the cannabis farm.

Wilson, of Chase Road, Burntwood, admitted producing a class B drug after the drugs bust on 21 October 2019.

He was handed a 12-month sentence, suspended for 18 months, in addition as a 40-day rehabilitation activity requirement when he appeared at Stafford Crown Court on 23 September.
